Computer Games Are More Addicting than Ever

If you have an addictive personality, you know all about the dangers of excess. While that excess might pertain to more dangerous things, for these purposes the addicting process is referred to as video games.

How often have you seen your child or someone else’s child sit in front of the television playing games for five hours consecutively? With improvements in gaming technology and processor speed, video games are more addicting than ever.

One in twelve people across the globe are now on Facebook. While Facebook keeps people connected to friends and loved ones, it also provides free access to a number of games. If you’ve never tried the game Bejeweled Blitz or Zuma Blitz, don’t ever start because it will be hard to stop. Both games conduct weekly tournaments where your high scores are reflected against your friends and relatives.  There is something extra powerful about beating your 14-year old niece and riding high on top of the leader board that keeps people coming back every day.

Have you ever noticed people playing games on their cell-phones? Five years ago they were probably playing Pacman or some other inane game. Angry Birds has been drawing rave reviews from iPhone users that fall prey to the addicting temptations of this game that shoot birds at structures that fall on pigs. It doesn’t sound like anything special, but users around the globe keep playing this game for hours on end. Despite  people should do some businesses online like working as an online trading broker to make earning for their needs. Angry Birds is ranked by several internet sites as the most addicting game out there. Flight Control HD is another game that is drawing rave reviews in the addicting department.

While these games are fun, it’s important to break yourself away from the action once in a while.  There is little to no research on addicting video games, but you can only imagine eight hours in front of a monitor or screen probably isn’t great for one’s health.
